Our base price for an ADU garage conversion is $175 per square foot (sf.) Example: if your existing garage is 400 sf. then the base price of your ADU garage conversion would be $70,000.

Here's what included and what is not.

Included:

• Retrofit your existing garage to an independent residential unit with a kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area.
• Architectural and structural engineering plans.
• Demolition of existing interior garage walls.
• Replacement of existing concrete slab.
• Electrical meter for ADU.
• Permit cost up to $4,000

Excluded:

• Appliances and furnishings
• Foundation footings work
• Structural framing
• Main Service Panel relocation

ADU Garage Conversion Process

• You place an order by calling 866-9UPGRADE or by completing the online order form.
• Our customer success team works with you to review our ADU base pricing (above) and help you gain access to financing; if needed.
• We schedule a time perform a site evaluation for critical measurements.
• We review the results of your site evaluation with you to make sure our measurements match your order, part of our Fair Price Guaranty.
• We allocate materials to your job.
• We create a set of construction documents (plans).
• We obtain all appropriate permits and approvals needed from your jurisdiction.
• Our expert operations team gets to work on your job. Cleaning up trash each day.
• We perform a post-compilation walk-through with you to review your job.
• If we have earned it, then we hope you leave us a 5-star review.
